Jaffna Hindu College (JHC) is a well reputed boys' public national school in Jaffna, Sri Lanka.   • Four students received President’s award for top four district rank
  • Eleven students received high distinctions in all nine subjects.

G.C.E. A/L Examination 2010

  • Nine students from Mathematics stream received high distinctions in all three subjects.
  • Three students from Biology stream received high distinctions in all three subjects.

National Science Research Exhibition Competition 2011

  • Best team in the “National Science Research Exhibition Competition 2011
  • Received the medal and the certificate from Sweden’s “Yale” organization.

International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) 2011

  • The year 10 students “A. Harishankar” and “S. Vithiyasagar” have been selected in the six member Sri Lankan delegation to participate in the 8th International Junior Science Olympiad Competition” held in Durban, South Africa from 1st to 10th December 2011.

 

  • JHC OBA Victoria has prowdly sponsored SLR 85,000 for one of the student's half the airfare.

Art

Northern Province Tamil Language Day 2011

  • First Prize for three students who are selected for National Tamil Debate competition.
  • First Prize for one student who is selected for National Tamil Reading competition.

National Drama Competition (organized by the Hatton National Bank)

  • First Prize for School team’s “Vidiyalai Thedi” drama

International Art, Music and Drama Organization’s Competition

  • Gold medals in Tamil Music and Veena Instrument for “P. Dineshan”
  • Silver medal in Tamil Music for “S. Sivashankar”

Sri Lankan Festival of Music, Dance & Speech Competition

-Conducted by “International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance and Speech” on 5th June 2011 at Jaffna Hindu College Hall.

  • Gold Medals for Public Speaking, Radio News reading, Verse Speaking, Creative Writing, Prose Reading, Television News Reading, Musical Solo, Drum Solo and String Instrument Solo.
  • Silver Medals for Inventive Story Telling, Radio News reading, Creative Writing.
